Hello hello and happy Sunday! I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend so far!
Today’s blog post is all about my favorites this season, and this year is a little harder for me because I have so many and I can’t write about them all. Like I mentioned in my last blog post, I live in Miami, so I try my best to dress up for the season because the fashion choices for fall are some of my favorites. Two of my favorite fall trends that made their way into fall 2020 fashion were the chunky black boots along with the voluminous sleeve on a silhouette. I have been wearing my black boots nonstop and I am so in love. When it comes to a voluminous sleeve, I have always been obsessed. I think that the detail can elevate and exaggerate a look in the best way.
More trends I am obsessed with this season are sweater vests, wide legged long denim, statement collars and leathers.
When it comes to sweater vests, I think of of the show Friends and mostly men’s fashion in the 80’s and 90’s if I’m being honest, but let me tell you, at the moment I am wearing a sweater vest and I am loving it. The “preppy school girl” look has been in style, but never like it is now. I am LIVING for it.
Wide legged long denim is another trend that reminds me of fashion from another era, but I am glad they’re back. I have been so iffy bout buying a pair since I am 5’1 but I recently bought a pair from Nasty Gal and of course am obsessed!
Statement collars have also been in style before, but now is the time I am participating in the trend. I love the preppy look and I love the fact that people are wearing them as an accessory; for example. The collar shirt itself isn’t showing as much but the collar itself is. People are wearing vests, tees, dresses and sweaters over them and making it their own look which I love!
The final trend I’ll be talking about is leather and that pretty much speaks for itself. IT’S GORGEOUS. I’m not going to lie I never thought I would wear leather and go along with this fall trend but here I am :)
