BLOG POST #3

Hey guys! Hope you all are having a great Sunday!

Quarantine has been SOMETHING ELSE, but honestly, I have been trying to focus on the positive side of it all. It has given me the opportunity to spend quality time with the people I love most, and this is something I truly cherish. We are always so caught up with life and the world around us that we never stop and just take everything in and appreciate what we have and who we have around us. This is something that is extremely important and can quite literally change a person. Knowing you have people around who love you and acknowledging what you have is important- this is something I did and am still doing through out quarantine.

Another positive thing that came out of this was finding my way back to working out and I have quarantine to thank. QUARANTINE MADE ME DO IT. Through out this time, something that I have tried to focus more on is my health, and with that comes physical fitness and eating habits. Growing up, I was always involved in sports and I never really needed to “work out” because practices were part of my daily routine. When I got to college, I would workout once in a blue moon because, if I’m being honest, I didn’t really care as much as I should have about working out. Then came quarantine. It made me realize how important it truly is to stay physically active. Working out has not only helped me physically but mentally as well. After getting laid off, it got to a point where I was doing nothing and working out was the only thing I was looking forward to in my day. Thankfully, because of quarantine, I have finally made working out a part of my daily routine again and I feel happy, proud and accomplished.

When it comes to my eating habits, I have incorporated more fruits and vegetables into my daily meals and again, QUARANTINE MADE ME DO IT. I have started eating fruits with my breakfast and have been trying to have more vegetables with each meal. Of course, this does not always happen, but I can honestly say that I have been trying to eat healthier meals on the daily. I am a HUGE snacker and chips will NEVER not be part of my diet, but I have found healthier alternatives when it comes to snacks. Every now and then I have my unhealthy snack, ice cream and chocolates, but I tell myself it’s okay because I work out now :)

Now you guys know that the reason I started working out again, other than for my health, is because QUARANTINE MADE ME DO IT. Hope you enjoyed the blog!

See you next Sunday!

XOXO,
